Dr.S.Suganya, Associate Professor

Dr. Suganya is a dynamic, passionate, and committed academician with over 21 years of teaching experience and 2 years of industry exposure, who is dedicated to delivering high-quality, value-based education to aspiring management professionals. Her academic journey is driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and research.

Having earned an MBA and a Ph.D. in Management, she brings both scholarly depth and practical insight into the classroom. She strives to cultivate a learning environment that is conceptually strong, interactive, and intellectually stimulating—where students are encouraged to think critically, explore new ideas, and grow into responsible, innovative business leaders.

Currently, Dr. Suganya is guiding doctoral research scholars under Bharathiar University, contributing to the development of original research and academic scholarship in the field of management. With a strong focus on the holistic development of MBA students, her teaching philosophy centers on integrating academic rigor with real-world relevance to empower students for success in a dynamic global business environment.

Achievements

• Received the Best Faculty Award for Academic Excellence in the MBA Department for the year 2023-2024.
• Won second place in the Coimbatore Chapter in the Teachers Day Competition - 2022 on the theme “Academics on a Learning Quest”, by presenting on the topic “The Significance of Innovation for Company Success and Sustainability”.
• Won second place in the 6th Edition of National Higher Education Conclave on the theme “Reimagining Higher Education for the Future of Work”. Presented a case study on Innovation Strategies of Shri. Thanushgaran, Former Chairman cum Managing Director, Shri Kannan Departmental Stores Private Ltd, on 24.11.2022.
• CII-Teachers Day Competition - Participated in “Spread the Spark” and addressed the topic “A Paradigm Shift in Education Through Innovative Pedagogy” on 07.09.2023 and 08.09.2023, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Coimbatore Zonal Office.
• Completed the UGC Minor Research Project entitled “A Study on Brand Awareness for Personal Care Products Among Women in Rural Areas of Coimbatore City.”
• Awarded a Ph.D. in September 2014 by Bharathiar University. Guided by Dr. K.A. Chinnaraju, Director, Coimbatore Institute of Management and Technology.
• Awarded the Best Paper Award for the article on the topic “A Study on Decision Making and Buying Behavior of Rural and Urban Women for Beauty Care and Hygienic Products in Coimbatore District” on September 8th and 9th, 2018, in Pune at the 23rd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Practice in the Era of Digital Innovation and Academic Intelligence: A Futuristic Approach” organized by Research Development Association and Research Development Research Foundation in collaboration with Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Jaipur Management Association (affiliated to AIMA).
