The School of Commerce and RVS CAS MBA jointly conducted Hands-on Training on Capital Markets with Bourse Game on 12 February 2026 at C.K. Prahalad Hall. The programme provided students with practical exposure to financial markets, trading dynamics and financial decision-making.
The programme featured Mr. C. R. Mahadevan, Deputy Vice-President – Chief Dealer, Integrated Treasury, ESAF Small Finance Bank Limited, Mumbai, as the Chief Guest. His industry insights connected the concepts discussed during the session with real-world financial practices.
Understanding Capital Markets
The training covered asset classes and their features, building a basic trading mindset, and fundamental and technical analysis tools and strategies. These topics introduced students to different approaches to understanding markets and evaluating trading decisions.
Learning Through the Bourse Game
A live Bourse Game mock trading session gave students an opportunity to apply their learning in a simulated market environment. The activity encouraged analytical thinking and decision-making while helping participants connect financial concepts with practical trading situations.
Bringing Industry Learning into the Classroom
By combining industry perspectives with an experiential activity, the programme supported the institution’s commitment to applied financial education. It helped students develop a clearer understanding of financial markets beyond classroom theory.
The School of Commerce and RVS CAS MBA thank Mr. C. R. Mahadevan for sharing his expertise and contributing to the programme.
